Kate Scherr-Adams is the owner and lead consultant with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Kate works with several highly skilled colleagues with a variety of lived experiences and professional skills with whom she engages in projects based
on the needs of the client.
Kate is guided by the words of jazz pianist and composer Eubie Blake of Baltimore, MD, who said, “Be grateful for luck. Pay the thunder no mind—listen to the birds. Don’t hate nobody.” This philosophy reflects her approach to both life and work.
Professionally, Kate brings together her expertise in Social Work (BA) and Nonprofit Management (MA) to help organizations navigate challenges and achieve positive community impact with a focus on social justice. A skilled strategist, trainer and facilitator, she focuses on people and planning and is adept at developing innovative solutions, fostering team growth and driving sustainable change.
